2. Data We Collect

Fralen Press collects a limited and defined set of personal data, described below. No data is collected without a stated purpose.

Contact form data. When a visitor submits a message via the contact form on contact.php, the following data is collected: name, email address, and message content. This data is used solely to respond to the submitted enquiry and is not retained beyond the period necessary to handle the correspondence.

Technical log data. Like all web servers, the hosting infrastructure for fralen.info records standard server log data when pages are requested. This includes IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamps. This data is retained for up to 30 days for security and performance purposes and is not linked to any personal identity.

Cookie data. Fralen Press uses functional cookies to maintain site preferences and, where consent is given, analytical cookies to understand aggregate reading patterns. Full details are set out in the Cookie Policy at cookie-policy.php.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Fralen Press processes personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

  • Consent — for analytical cookies, where the visitor has accepted cookie usage via the consent banner.
  • Legitimate interests — for server log data retained for security purposes, where our interest in maintaining site security is balanced against the minimal impact on visitor privacy.
  • Contract performance — for contact form data, where the data is necessary to respond to a visitor's enquiry as requested.

4. How We Use Your Data

Personal data collected by Fralen Press is used only for the purposes stated at the point of collection. Contact form submissions are used to respond to the enquiry. Server log data is used to maintain site security and identify technical issues. Cookie data is used as described in the Cookie Policy.

Fralen Press does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Data is not used for profiling or automated decision-making. No personal data is transferred to countries outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area without appropriate safeguards in place.

5. Data Retention

Contact form data is retained for no longer than 90 days following the resolution of the correspondence to which it relates. Server log data is retained for up to 30 days. Cookie consent preferences are stored locally in the visitor's browser and are not retained on our servers beyond the session. Analytical cookie data, where consent is given, is retained in aggregate form for up to 12 months before being deleted.

  • Right to object — the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]. Fralen Press will respond to all rights requests within 30 calendar days. If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
